About the Instructor
Jennie Milner is a silversmith and muralist from Fort Collins, Colorado. Her Sterling Silver & Resin work is featured in galleries from Orange County, California to Seaside, Florida! Jennie brings a painterly aesthetic to her resin work finding innovative ways to use acrylics, water color, and powdered pigments throughout her process. Color adds an element of surprise and Jennie likes to walk the tight rope between being a technically proficient silversmith and a wild carnival in a box!
Jennie uses traditional silversmithing techniques that she learned earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Colorado State University, but instead of plopping a stone into a bezel she creates a field of color with hand-colored Epoxy Resin. Some pieces she paints on cured resin and coats to seal and others are embedded color fields. Every piece of jewelry is an experiment where Jennie stretches the boundaries of Resin.
Maximum ten (10) students. All participants will be required to sign a waiver.
