Class Description
In one weekend, students will learn primary techniques to complete two to three stacking rings, set with stones. We will practice measuring, cutting, forming, soldering rings and bezels, setting cabochon design, textures and finishing. This is an excellent class if you have never taken a jewelry course or would like to brush up on your jewelry skills.
About the Instructor
Rocky started metalsmithing in college out of pure curiosity with no previous knowledge of what metalsmithing consisted of or understanding of how to get started, but he took to it quickly. Jewelry crafting ignited something inside Rocky that was already there, it just needed a spark.
The metalsmithing journey continued as Rocky received a graduate degree in engineering. Engineering and metal arts have gone hand-in-hand for him for more than 25 years. Over the years Rocky has been able to study under many master jewelers, enabling him to pay-it-forward at BoMA.
