Complex Fabrication & 3D Soldering
for Wearable Sculptures
with Lauren Markley

Class Description
Taking an architectural approach to jewelry, students will work through a number of fabrication techniques, improving their soldering skills along the way. They will explore three-dimensional forms to create sculptural objects. Class projects will present opportunities to hone order-of-operations and problem-solving skills. Students will come away with several samples and hopefully one or two finished pieces.
Some of the topics and techniques that will be covered in the workshop include: slotted construction, wire work, scoring/folding, hollow construction, brooch mechanisms and found objects.
