CLASS DESCRIPTION
Fusing Argentium with high karat gold is a joy. In this 2-day class, students will make a 22k gold bezel for a 8 x 10 Kyanite Cabochon. Adding the bling of flush mounted stones on the band makes the ring exceptional.

Basic Argentium Fusing and Fabricating Skills

Ronda Coryell has a degree in Art Education and founded the Northwest Chapter of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths. Her work has won recognition in competition and exhibition. Ronda teaches and lectures across the country and internationally. - Jewelers Saw and 3/0 blades
- Charcoal block
- Half round pliers
- Chain nose pliers
- Flat or parallel pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Delrin hammer (Rio #119327 or similar)
- Ruler
- Files - half round ring file med/fine
- Needle file - half round 2 or 4 cut
- Tweezers fine tip
- Sharpie
- Sanding papers
- Split mandrel (Rio #333131 or similar)
- Sanding Disk (320 grit) and mandrel (Rio #333128 & 337226 or similar)
- Drill bit - 1mm (Rio #341573 or similar)
- 3M Bristle Brushes (6 per mandrels) blue, peach, & green (optional)

- 1.3mm (16ga) Argentium sheet x 5mm x 3”
- 8 x 10 oval cab- Kyanite (or you may bring your own cab)
- .8mm (20ga) x 10 X 12 Argentium sheet (base for stone)
- 1.3mm (16ga) x 5mm x 1 ½” (practice flush mounting)
- 2mm CZs (or supply your own 2mm faceted stones…no other size for the flush mounting)
- 22k gold bezel wire: 1 1/2”– 3mm x 0.25 (long enough for 10 x 12 max)
- Argentium solder & 22k solder
- Optional: gold may be added to band – additional 22k gold will be available for purchase
- TOOLS REQUIRED FOR FLUSH MOUNTING:
- 2mm setting burs
- 1mm drill bit
- 1.5mm drill bit
CANCELLATION POLICY
- You may cancel up to 45 days prior to the start of the class and receive a full refund, less $25 processing. To cancel, send an email to info@bouldermetalsmiths.com.
- Cancellations less than 45 days prior to the start date will not be refunded.
- In the event we have to cancel a class, you will be notified prior to the start date and will be issued a full refund.
- Registration is not transferrable. You may not sell your seat to another student.
- If a class has multiple sessions, and you miss one, there is no make up opportunity and the instructor will not catch you up at the next class session. You may not join the next scheduled class, as there’s a maximum number of students for every class and it’s not fair to the other students.
- If you are late to a class, the instructor will not catch you up. There’s a structured curriculum for every class and its not fair to other students to skip part of the curriculum or delay the class to catch up a student who’s late.
