Heavy Chiseled & Cut Bezel Cabochon Ring with Jeff Fulkerson

Class Description
We’ll discuss picking cabochons and what to look for when purchasing a cab. Learn how to silver solder, sweat solder, texturing techniques and polishing/finishing. Learn how to work with a heavy (20 gauge) bezel, chisel and cut it, then make an overlay shank and set the cab
Prerequisites
Soldering experience is helpful but not necessary.
About the Instructor
Jeff says, "I stated making jewelry when I was 16, cuz I wanted a silver and turquoise bracelet."
Artist Jeff Fulkerson has been creating stunning, imaginative jewelry for over 30 years. A contributing artist to Lapidary Journal’s Jewelry Artist Magazine, his work has also been seen in Art Jewelry Magazine. Jeff is a self-taught silver-smith with a background in construction and design, and he counts himself fortunate to have studied with many great Native American artists throughout the years.
Students need to bring
Materials Kit* $60
Sterling silver sheet and fine silver bezel wire
*Materials kit purchase is required for all our workshops. The kit insures all students have the same tools and materials require to learn the technique and allows the instructor and the students to focus on the technique rather than the materials.
Number of Seats
Maximum ten students. All participants will be required to sign a waiver.

- Rawhide mallet
- Solder: hard, medium and easy
- Files
- Cut off wheels
- Dividers
- Bezel pusher
- Burnisher

CANCELLATION POLICY
- You may cancel up to 10 business days prior to the start of the class and receive a full refund, less $10 processing.
- Cancellations 5-10 business days prior to the start of the class are eligible for a 50% refund.
- Cancellations occurring less than 5 business days prior to the start date will not be refunded,
- In the event we have to cancel a class, you will be notified prior to the start date and will be issued a full refund.
