Class Description
The hydraulic press is an extremely useful piece of equipment in the jewelers studio. The press can be used to quickly create 3-D multiples in jewelry that look as if they were each made by hand or form larger pieces of metal like those used for bracelets. In this hands-on workshop students will:
- learn the process of roller printing for added dimension to the metal
- use dies to create 3-D shapes
- saw and pierce a dome form
- learn hydraulic press safety
- use the bracelet former attachment to make cuff and anticlastic bracelet shapes
Projects will be created in copper and brass. Students are welcome to bring in their own silver (22-24g)

Copper and Brass - 28 gauge to 20 gauge (if you want more metal than the instructor provides)
Jewelers' saw and saw blades - 2/0 or 3/0

Sanding sticks - 220, 400 grit
