Prong Setting with D'Ette Delforge

Class Description
We will be sizing a sterling silver band to fit, soldering a pre-made prong to the ring, then mounting a round cubic zirconia into the ring. Students will leave with a finished ring.
About the Instructor
D’Ette Delforge has over 35 years of experience in the jewelry industry, including everything from retail, wholesale, custom, manufacturing, stone setting for the trade, restoration, repairs, and teaching stone setting.
Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with soldering, using a jewelers saw and have experience with the flex shaft.
Materials Kit* $50 (provided by instructor)
A sterling silver band, one prong head, one round cubic zirconia, and all specialty tools need to set stones.
*Materials kit purchase is required for all our workshops. The kit insures all students have the same tools and materials required to learn the technique and allows the instructor and the students to focus on the technique rather than the materials.

Old toothbrush
SS solder
Rawhide hammer
Magnification (visor)
1/2 round file
Needle files (barrette, square, flat, round)
Center punch
Flat nose pliers
Maximum Six students. All participants will be required to sign a waiver. Participants must be 18 or older.

CANCELLATION POLICY
- You may cancel up to 10 business days prior to the start of the class and receive a full refund, less $10 processing.
- Cancellations up to 5-10 business days prior to the start of the class are eligible for a 50% refund.
- Cancellations occurring less than 5 business days prior to the start date will not be refunded.
- In the event we have to cancel a class, you will be notified prior to the start date and will be issued a full refund.
