To start the process, email us and say you're interested in Open Studio Membership. You must already have a signed contract in place before paying for open studio membership here.
Open studio prerequisites include:
BoMA open studio offers our students and members a place to work on their own projects, and practice what was learned in class. Open studio members have access to bench space, soldering stations, flexshafts, a polishing cabinet and more. Open studio members are required to bring their own supplies, solders, burs, and any other materials needed to work on their projects.
Open studio members must be able to work safely and independently on their own. Proper safety habits in the studio and experience with our equipment and torches is a prerequisite. While most equipment is available, open studio members are not permitted to use kilns, casting equipment or any equipment they have not been trained to use in one of our classes.
Open studio membership is month-to-month, there is no long term commitment. Open studio members pay the rate of $125/month. Payment is required on the first day of each month to reserve a seat in open studio for that month. Only the first month may be prorated.
- Current BoMA membership for the year
- Completion of at least one fabrication class at BoMA
- A studio tour
- A signed contract
