Fascinating Fling Earrings

Class Description
Ever wonder how they got that stone to stay on top of another stone? That’s what you’re going to learn as you make these one of a kind earrings. Students will learn how to sweat solder, how to drill stones, and how to set a cabochon on top of a cabochon. We'll also practice tube setting, various texturing techniques and finishing.
Prerequisites
Basic metalsmithing skills including soldering, filing and sawing are required to be successful in this class.
About the Instructor
Jeff Fulkerson is an award-winning silversmith and jewelry artist who has been creating stunning, imaginative pieces for over forty years. His work is regularly and prominently featured in publications such as Art Jewelry Magazine, Rock & Gem, and Lapidary Journal/Jewelry Artist Magazine, where he also serves as a contributing editor. With a background in construction and design, Fulkerson has been the recipient of numerous accolades including a Gemmy Award, the San Diego County Fair Coordinator's Cup, and the Courtney McGowan Design Award. Jeff is a highly sought-after instructor and the inventor of numerous jewelry making products such as the Steady Stamp, Bead Bandit and his newest invention, the anaclastic forming disc. Jeff also produces instructional videos and educational e-books teaching an array of topics including stone inlay, metal work, and more.

1’ – Fine silver bezel wire
1’ – 16 gauge round sterling silver wire
1’ – 22 gauge round sterling silver wire
2 ea. – 6mm fine silver bezel cups
2 ea. – 6mm cabochon
2 ea. Jump rings
*Materials kit purchase is required for all our workshops. The kit insures all students have the same tools and materials require to learn the technique and allows the instructor and the students to focus on the technique rather than the materials.
Number of Seats
Maximum twelve students. All participants will be required to sign a waiver.

- Rawhide mallet
- Solder: hard, medium and easy
- Files
- Any stamps you have. Optional.

- You may cancel up to 45 days prior to the start of the class and receive a full refund, less $25 processing.
- Cancellations occurring less than 45 days prior to the start date will not be refunded,
- In the event we have to cancel a class, you will be notified prior to the start date and will be issued a full refund.
- Registration is not transferrable. You may not sell your seat to another student.
