Learn how to make a spinner ring and explore the many possible variations of this kinetic ring in a one day workshop. Students will learn to hammer texture, twist wire, saw, form and solder to make a wide ring in sterling silver with 1-3 spinner bands in copper, brass and/or nickel. Combine all these together for a beautiful, one-of-a-kind spinner ring!
Spinner rings, also known as meditation rings, originate from the ancient Tibetan prayer wheel. The action of turning the outer band is said to produce a special 'calming' effect which dispels anxiety and worries.
