Bring your finished wax model(s) to the studio for casting. Our casting expert will help students sprue and invest their models in casting flasks, run burnout and vacuum cast. (Wax carving is not part of this class.)
This class is comprised of two sessions
• First session in the evening to sprue and invest the finished wax models.
• Flasks are then burned out overnight.
• Second session is the next morning to pour metal, vacuum cast hot flasks and remove the casting from the investment.
The first session for this class starts at 6 pm on Saturday, July 11 and the second session is at 9 am on Sunday, July 12.
The number of models each student can place in a flask varies depending on the size of the model and the size of the flask. Available flask sizes: 2”, 2-1/2”, 3” & 4”. If you want to cast multiple flasks, send an email to [email protected]. Minimum number of flasks for a class to run is 4.
Materials fee $10
Investment and sprue wax
Will be collected in class
